A member of the Inkatha Freedom Party has been shot dead at Greytown in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands outside a polling station on election day.

Singh said that the party member, who he did not name, had been walking from a polling station in Greytown’s Ward 11 with a member of the National Freedom Party when they were shot “by members of the ANC”.Singh said the incident had been confirmed by the Electoral Commission of South Africa and the police.
