Former Labor MP Graham Richardson says if he were Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, he’d “just ignore” the several polls showing the Yes campaign being set for defeat. “I’d just go on with everything else in the world,” he told Sky News Australia. “I don’t believe this is an issue close to the hearts of many Australians. “So I don’t believe it’s a massive loss” Despite the Yes campaign being optimistic about the Voice to Parliament being successful in the referendum, a survey by Resolve Strategic has shown people voting Yes has dropped from 46 to 43 per cent in August.
