'If I'd got into that car, God knows what could have happened to me': Man tried to kidnap schoolgirl at bus stop, court hears
A man tried to kidnap a schoolgirl as she sat at a bus stop, prosecutors allege. Sean Gillings approached the teenager, then 15, on a dark and wet night in Monton, Salford.
The girl gave false details to the man to try and 'fob him off', prosecutor Nicholas Flanagan said, including telling him she was 16. She said the man shook her hand with a 'tight grip', and believed he was trying to get her to stand up. She claimed that Mr Gillings said she would be 'in trouble' if he didn't take her.
