The IDF announced daily, local, tactical pauses in certain parts of Gaza in order to increase the flow of humanitarian aid.

“To increase the volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza and following additional related discussions with the U.N. and international organizations, a local, tactical pause of military activity for humanitarian purposes will take place from 08:00 until 19:00 every day until further notice along the road that leads from the Kerem Shalom Crossing to the Salah al-Din Road and then further north,” a post on the IDF’s X account read.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari clarified in a statement to the outlet that the tactical pauses only affect a single route. “There is no cessation of fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, and the fighting in Rafah continues,” Hagari said. “Also, there is no change in the introduction of goods into the Gaza Strip.”for the IDF since January — eight soldiers were killed after their armored personnel carrier was ambushed and destroyed by Hamas.in the country on Saturday night, demanding new elections and a deal to release the remaining hostages.
