The times at which we eat our meals have a real impact on our bodies. In fact, it may be more beneficial for our metabolism to dine at certain times rather than others. This dietician reveals the ideal time to sit down to dinner!

As we all know, eating a balanced or even light diet at dinner helps us to sleep better and avoid feeling too bloated when it's time to go to bed. Eating too much or too richly just before going to bed can disrupt our sleep. But that's not the only reason! Mealtimes should also be taken into account. Sara Riehm and Samantha Cochrane, two American dieticians, explain that the time of the last meal of the day has a major impact on our health.

And why is that? Well, because ‘This aligns mealtimes with circadian rhythm cycles and ensures food is digested properly.’‘It's important to establish a regular sleep schedule that includes adequate rest time – ideally, at least seven hours of sleep a night,’ explains the professional.
