SAN ANTONIO - IDEA Judson was placed on lockdown Thursday morning following a report of a gun on school grounds. Police were called out just before 8 a.m. to IDEA Judson off Judson Road near Lookout Road when someone reported a person with a gun at the school. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the caller reported that a student wearing tactical gear was allegedly in possession of a gun. Staff immediately contacted police, prompting a response from multiple SAPD units. As a precaution, the school was immediately placed on lockdown. Officers conducted a thorough internal sweep of the campus, clearing every classroom and all interior areas, followed by an external sweep of the grounds. Once police determined the campus was secure, students and staff were moved to a primary location where everyone was accounted for. The lockdown was then lifted. Police say no injuries were reported. Investigators have identified the student in question, who is now being questioned. It’s not yet clear whether any charges will be filed.
