Road conditions improved dramatically on Thursday in the aftermath of a record-breaking snowstorm. But not everywhere. Residents of Timber Ridge Apartments off of Hillcrest Road have not been able to drive out because the sloped and shady Wall Street – the only way in or out – has been an icy sheet.

And it’s about this far from mine.
Anna Caulk and Sarah Harlin also both live at the apartment complex. Caulk had the foresight to move her car to the roller skating rink nearby. Harlin did not.Added Caulk: “People don’t really know how to drive an ice and snow. So this is how this happened. But I guess I just kind of got lucky and moved my car last night.”
The county does not own snowplows, but spokeswoman Sharee Broussard said crews used grading equipment to push snow and ice off the roads.
