Additionally, the devs are working on a third game, with “contemporary play and GPU sensibilities.” “Me and the entire original team are going to Remaster the original Ecco the Dolphin and Tides of Time games,” said Annunziata. “Then we will make a new, third game with contemporary play and GPU sensibilities. Stay tuned to Ecco the Dolphin was originally released for the Sega Genesis in 1992. It also came to Sega CD, Master System, and Game Gear. It has been rereleased on more modern platforms, including the Nintendo Wii, the Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo 3DS. Ecco: The Tides of Time was released in 1994, just two years after the original. It came to Sega Genesis, Game Gear, and Sega CD. The sequel has also released on the Nintendo Wii, and was part of the Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, which was available on PS3 and Xbox 360. There really isn’t much information regarding the unnamed third game from the Ecco the Dolphin series.
