Jelly Belly has announced sweeping layoffs in California after shutting down a major corporate and commercial operation in the state. Ferrara Candy Company, its Chicago-based owner, revealed on Wednesday 69 workers will be axed at the headquarters in Fairfield, near San Francisco , in June.
It will impact administrative roles including web developers, accountants, customer service staff and e-commerce teams, according to a letter sent to local city officials.Hunter College professor placed on leave for racist hot mic comments in front of studentsJelly Belly will still remain in business and the Fairfield manufacturing, warehousing and visitor center roles will not be hit.
