Iceland limits online orders to the elderly, vulnerable and those self-isolating
ICELAND has limited its online delivery slots to older and vulnerable people as supermarkets struggle to cope with increased demand during the coronavirus crisis.
The frozen food specialist said it wanted to make sure those most in need were able to get essential food as the spread of the virus continues.Only older or vulnerable customers can now order onlineAnyone visiting Iceland’s website is met with a message asking them if they are eligible for the service.
“This means that we're temporarily limiting online orders to customers who are over state pension age, self-isolating and other vulnerable people, such as the disabled.” For those who aren’t over state pension age and who are able to get to the shops, Iceland said they should not be using home delivery.
