Ice cream flavored with white truffle and cheese scoops world record over its $6,316 price tag
Cellato wanted to include both European and Japanese ingredients in the ice cream, so it turned to a chef known for fusion cuisine for help.
"It took us over 1.5 years to develop, with a lot of trials and errors to get the taste right. Achieving a Guinness World Records title made the effort all worth it," a Cellato company representative told Guinness World Records. The company is planning to release more products such as Champagne and caviar in the future, according to Guinness World Records.
A representative for Cellato did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, made outside normal working hours.what was considered to be the most expensive ice cream in the world.
