The man, whose identity was withheld, was arrested in New Haven, Conn. on Dec. 16, according to immigration officials.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on Friday announced the arrest of a Peruvian national in Connecticut accused of raping a minor in his home country.
He was then arrested in New Haven in December 2014 for allegedly “refusing to submit to a blood, breath or urine test at a police officer’s request,” but was released after participating in an Impaired Driver Intervention Program, according to ICE. Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston arrested the migrant in New Haven last month. He remains in ICE custody pending removal from the U.S., the agency said.
