The singer says those with ‘evidence’ she had something to do with Senzo Meyiwa’s murder should come forward. Late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s former girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, issued on a statement on Monday night in which she called on those who “strongly” believed she was implicated in Meyiwa’s fatal shooting and had evidence to back this or believed she was protecting the later footballer’s killers to come forward so she would be “locked up”.claimed that the investigation into Meyiwa’s death may have had a breakthrough, with arrests imminent.
The remaining three suspects are said to be the “mother of one of the suspects” and “two other people”. The police are reportedly investigating witnesses for concealing evidence to protect the murder suspect. One unnamed suspect, however, told the paper that the police were being “desperate” and “there is no case against us”.reported late on Monday that the police said, however, that there were no imminent arrests in the late footballer’s murder case.
Meanwhile, Khumalo was forced to leave the stage at an EFF rally earlier this year after performing just two songs amid chants of “Senzo” from the crowd and one person who held up a banner demanding “Justice for Senzo Meyiwa”.
