Candice Warner has stood firm, telling a Sunrise host she didn't have the opportunity to speak about her side of the story back in 2007 when a leaked picture of her with former rugby league player stirred controversy.

In response, Warner asserted she was “forced” to make the public apology because of how different women’s rights were back in the day. “16 years ago we lived in a society where women didn’t have the voice we do now,” she told the hosts.
