Glentoran boss Declan Devine admits he has been left scratching his head over his side's penalty misses
Declan Devine has been left scratching his head in disbelief in recent weeks as Glentoran have paid the penalty for not killing teams off. Remarkably the Glens have missed their last three spot-kicks with their profligacy from 12 yards proving crucial in the games against Larne and Carrick Rangers in particular.
Devine admitted he has never experienced anything like it before as he called on his side to take advantage of being on top in games.READ NEXT: Tiernan Lynch offers honest assessment as Larne are down but not out "So there does come a bit of frustration, but it's right throughout the league this year. I'm sure all chairmen and managers are desperate to try and find that consistency.
"That was never more evident than on Saturday past against the champions at home. We dominated the game, they maybe had a spell of six or seven minutes where they got on top.
