You'll find Pitmaster on Rusholme's famous Curry Mile
It can't be easy to distinguish yourself from the hordes of quality food spots on Curry Mile and become a Manc favourite, but Pitmaster has gone and done it. One of the first restaurants you will find at the top of the famous street, Pitmaster opened in 2021 and has been a staple ever since.
I almost felt guilty, the food was too good to be shared alone and Pitmaster agrees thanks to it's large open style furniture designed for large groups. For my trip I had the Pitmaster Special and the Pulled Loaded Brisket. The lettuce, tomato, onions and mayo did the work in giving the burger some moisture while the jalapenos brought some edge with pangs of spice. The burger will set you back an honest £16 - even more eye watering when you consider that it comes with no side or drink.
I bought the small portion which cost £12 and, while this is also a large figure, the plate felt more like a medium than a large and with the inclusion of the shredded brisket I'm more inclined to give this meal a high score on the "worth it" meter.
