We have our own personal chef, Danny, and our own personal waiter, Nafiz, for the night, who welcomes us with a glass of Ferrari Maximum Brut Rose, a pink sparkling wine selected due to its 'Italian Champagne’ status, and a pot of plump, juicy olives. Dish number two is a butter-roasted king scallop, cooked beautifully, with pea puree and topped off with an edible flower. The truffled linguini is a firm favourite with all but one of us, who is not the biggest fan of the strong earthy taste - but he still ate it. Pasta might seem too filling for a tasting menu but the portion size is spot-on.
