to get a good sweat in. Though I've tried everything from Spin to Pilates to barre to boxing and beyond, I can confidently say I hate organized workout classes.I can't pinpoint exactly why I feel this way. I really wish that I didn't. It seems fun to wear LuLuLemon pants to work and genuinely be excited to sit on a Spin bike for 45 minutes once 6 p.m. rolls around. But alas, that's just not me.

If you're not aware, a typical 50-ish minute Orangetheory class is broken down into three sections composed of a treadmill workout, a rowing portion, and some time spent with weights on the floor. Although it may seem like you're doing the same thing every single time you hit up a class, after eight sessions I can confirm that each one is very,different. Some workouts may focus on power or endurance, while others can have components that seek to improve your strength.

Oddly enough, as someone who usually hates structured exercise, I found that I thrived in the Orangetheory format. Because you change what you're doing often enough, it's hard to ever get bored. Additionally, you can kill multiple birds with one stone. For example, I really wanted to strengthen my upper body and get my mile time down. And I did, quickly.
