This planner offers goal-setting advice, as well as pages for tracking workouts, shoes, and all the books on your nightstand.

The Wild Strides Paper company was founded by elite runner Grayson Murphy. The Training Log + Planner provides space to record for workouts, goals, and more.Pages offer inspirational quotes, charts to fill out, and a place to track books you read throughout the year.

I’ve always recorded my runs in a training journal, even though my Garmin directly sends my logs to Garmin Connect, Strava, and Oura. This stubborn analog habit bleeds into other aspects of my life: my refusal to own a Kindle, my insistence on buying an international issue of Runner’s World whenever I leave the country , the Christmas cards sent out after every Thanksgiving. When I log my runs, I love keeping something tangible, something I can hold in my hands and scribble inside with a pen.I have a pile of inked Believe Training Journals, which are co-authored by elite runners Lauren Fleshman and Roísín McGettigan-Dumas. But this year I switched to using Wild Strides Paper 2026 Runner’s Training Log + Daily Planner. Wild Strides Paper was founded by elite runner Grayson Murphy, so you can expect her journals are printed with the same thoughtfulness and care for runners as the one by Fleshman and McGettigan. The planner is great for athletes who want more than a space that just records mileage and minutes.Another Place to Store MemoriesI used to religiously write in a journal, loading page-upon-page of entries about my day and ruminations. I’m pressed for time these days, which is why I appreciate generous daily squares in the Wild Strides Paper Planner. Each date has a “Life” square, where I can write shorthand on the day’s events, what I ate, where I went, what I watched, how I felt. The right square is for “Training.” I list the usual runner stuff, such as mileage and pace. But there’s plenty of room for extra details, like the shoes I wore, the temperature and weather conditions, and the strength workout I squeezed in.Every week has an intention box and a blank space to make a list of what you want to accomplish. Usually I put a mindful prompt in the intention box and list a mix of training and personal goals in the “To accomplish space,” like a strength workout, long run, or seeing a movie with friends.Goal SetterThe mission of the planner is to help you set your goals. Each month has two blank pages for planning and brainstorming, as well as charts for illustrating your progressI like how the journal is catered specifically for running with a section for race day reviews and a shoe tracker where you can record models, colors, and start dates. But the planner also respects how runners are well-rounded. There are nutrition tips and inspiring quotes. A page toward the back of the planner allows you to track what you’ve read throughout the year and what you rated each book. There’s a pocket in the back to keep mementos. I store kettlebell stickers in there and add one to the monthly character. It’s kind of like being rewarded a gold star on a report card.A Safe Space to Track Your To-DosI don’t know about you, but I panic when I see that dreaded red bar on my Strava saying it’s unable to upload my workout or get a knot in my stomach when Garmin Connect is down. For me, the Wild Strides Paper Planner is a place to record my workouts and let my mind wander. There’s a sense of security knowing I have my progress at my fingertips and a sense of accomplishment when I fill out the last page. It’s more than a planner; it’s a memory book.Shop Wild Strides Paper Training Log at wildstridespaper.com
