'I am 40 and I had coronavirus - I was so ill I didn’t even have the energy to send a message to my wife to tell her I was still alive'
A month ago, I could cycle 30-miles easily, and would often do so for fun on a Sunday afternoon. Now, I struggle to walk beyond the end of my street. That’s because, three weeks ago, I was admitted to an intensive care unit with severe symptoms of coronavirus. I was so ill I didn’t even have the energy to lift my phone and send a message to my wife to tell her I was still alive.
