I'm A Celeb's Fatima Whitbread's emotional connection to South Africa ahead of All Stars Imaceleb
Previous I'm A Celebrity contestant Fatima Whitbread, a retired British and Olympic javelin thrower, has revealed her emotional connection to South Africa as she prepares for the new I'm A Celeb series.
“My son was born in South Africa,” she revealed. “My late husband worked there for ten years and it is a country close to my heart. I am looking forward to going back. But to her horror, one cockroach crawled up her nostril and got lodged inside. The show’s famous medic, Bob, was called upon by Ant & Dec to help remove the insect.
“Doing that trial in Australia was easily my scariest trial but I had a lot of fun taking part in the series and it’s wonderful to be asked back again.” Talking about being signed up for the upcoming South African adaption of the popular show, she described the experience as "a strange but exciting feeling." Fatima also insisted she won’t be devising a game plan to win.
Fatima went on to reveal she would absolutely love to take part in the one trial that many celebrities fear – an eating one.
