“I look at them both everyday, and my eyes fill with tears because of how in love and proud I am of my two little babies,” Zoe Milsom said.
“I couldn’t believe we were going to be mommies together,” Milsom gushed.
“I was very excited, as the feeling of being a mom is amazing,” she continued. “It’s a new life being brought into the world — or in her case, nine — and we planned on keeping at least one puppy for her to have a motherly bond with.” Two weeks after Alfie arrived, Beau gave birth to a litter of nine, but none of them survived due to complications from an infection.“I understood her pain having lost a baby of my own,” Milsom said, recalling how forlorn Beau appeared as she moped around the house. “I couldn’t stop crying, and I tried all I could to save them, but nothing worked.”
