Kayali Vanilla 28 Is the Most Decadent, Dessert-like Perfume - Product Review
Vanilla perfume has a longstanding reputation. Even if we don't agree on what that is, we all have an idea of what that reputation is. To me, the note often dominated every body spray , body lotion, and eau de toilette I became acquainted with in my formative adolescent years, heavily lingering in the halls of my high school, in the upholstery of my friends' first cars , and often delivered in tandem with a sensory ambush of glitter or body shimmer.
Mona Kattan is a vanilla girl. You know what I mean. We have never met, but I can just tell that her sillage would be sweet and warm, the likes of which stay on your clothes when she greets you with a hug . The self-appointed #perfumeprincess launched, four focused fragrances meant to be layered, one of which is Vanilla | 28, and it truly is first of its name, if you catch my drift. The four scents are meant to be layered as you please, but can, of course, be worn solo.
Vanilla on its own smells strongly like a baked good, but with the additions of a woodsy note and musk, that tugs the whole thing into more sophisticated sensorial directions, giving it edges and weight. The scent clings to the warmest parts of my body the longest, radiating a velvety and dare I say ~sexy vibe, but in a non-threatening way. Like, come hither, but also bend the knee, you know? Would thewear this scent? Honestly, probably not, but the mother of teacup Yorkies absolutely would.
