Sergio Rico gives fans health update as he continues recovery from horse-riding accident
While taking part in an annual pilgrimage in the El Rocio region of Spain, Rico was tramped by a horse that left him needing urgent medical attention.
It saw him put into a coma but he left intensive care on Wednesday, though is still recovering. The Spaniard took to social media to give fans an update on his condition. In an Instagram story, he wrote: "I wanted to thank each and every one of the people who have shown me and sent their love in these difficult days.Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino wants talks with ex-Tottenham star Dele AlliRico has since been transferred to a ward in Seville, his hometown, where he continues to receive further treatment.
At the time of the incident in May, his family had said he suffered from "a serious mishap due to a mule cart and a horse that hit him".Most read in Football
