As the first ambassador of Jessica McCormack, Zoë Kravitz talks British Vogue through the most treasured items in her jewellery box.
Zoë Kravitz used to throw all her jewellery in little bowls dotted around her bedroom, then spend hours trying to detangle individual necklaces from each web of chains. Now, she tells British Vogue proudly, she has “a system”. Kravitz – who grew up watching her mother, Lisa Bonet, decorate her feet with anklets and toe rings and her father, Lenny Kravitz, rarely remove a gold peace sign from his neck – has one woman to thank for her new bijoux filing system: Jessica McCormack.
“I was so interested in pieces that had history – which felt like treasure – that I’d collect them and wear them all the time,” she shares with a smile. “It was working for a moment, but now I’m interested in buying less, and better quality pieces.” Kravitz credits McCormack with making the fine jewellery world accessible: “Some of it feels so fancy and precious – what I love about Jess’s work is that you can wear it on a daily basis.
