Joanna Lovell loved the look of her new skirt, but when she headed out in it, she discovered she can't walk in it!
I actually went into Primark on Oxford Street looking for a man's belt – but as many of us do – I left the store with several items of clothing for myself. I don't think I've ever owned a denim skirt before, but I spotted it on the mannequin and I was sold.
So, as you do, when the purchase is confirmed, I cut out the tags and hung it up in my wardrobe, waiting for an occasion to wear it. The problem? The lack of any kind of a slit means it's tight at the bottom – not giving me a wide enough stride – so I shuffled along the street to sports day, walking like a penguin! Not able to walk fast enough.
I like it so much I'm actually going to take it to a seamstress to have the slit added – it's a serious design flaw that it doesn't have one!
