Embattled former Nissan chair back in custody just a month after being released on bail.
Former Nissan chair Carlos Ghosn has been arrested again, in a scandal that has rocked the global car industry and shone a harsh light on Japan's judicial system.Japanese prosecutors arrested Carlos Ghosn again on Thursday on suspicion the former Nissan boss had tried to enrich himself at the carmaker's expense, in another dramatic twist that his lawyers said was an attempt to muzzle him.
Tokyo prosecutors said Ghosn caused Nissan $5m in losses over a two-and-a-half-year period to July 2018, in breach of his legal duties to the company and with the goal of personal gain.
