'I am grateful for the love and support' - Springbok star Makazole Mapimpi
While the star-struck cashier who rang up his groceries is still in disbelief, Springbok winger Makazole Mapimpi has expressed gratitude for the hero's welcome he received at the Eastern Cape store, saying it was unexpected.
"I am very grateful for the love and support. It came unexpectedly. I was buying groceries for my grandmother, and people started asking for photos and then they started singing," Mapimpi said.
