According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the closure is due to spinouts and adverse driving conditions.At 11:20 a.m., U.S. 2 to Stevens Pass is still open, with chains required for all expect AWD and 4WD vehicles.
U.S. 12 to White Pass is open as well, with chains required on vehicles over 10,000 gross vehicle weight. I-90 is closed in both directions from North Bend to Ellensburg due to spinouts and adverse driving conditions.
