Nationals leader David Littleproud has issued a stinging rebuke to animal rights activists who support Labor's plans to end live sheep exports.
The Labor government is pushing ahead with its election commitment to phase out live sheep exports, with Agriculture Minister Murray Watt unveiling a panel that will lead consultation on the government’s plans.
But according to Mr Littleproud, the Albanese government’s process is designed to “break investment confidence,” so that in 2025 they will be able to say the industry has fallen apart and is no longer export anyway.
