KUALA LUMPUR: Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan has officially taken the helm as Selangor police chief.
Comm Hussein took over as Selangor's top cop from Deputy Comm Datuk S. Sasikala Devi, who had previously assumed the role in an acting capacity.
The IGP, who congratulated Comm Hussein on his appointment, said he was confident the new chief would be able to lead Selangor police to new heights. "However, he will need the full support of all Selangor officers and personnel, especially heads of department and OCPDs," he said."It is a huge responsibility leading the 14,000-strong state contingent and I will do my best to fulfil my duties.
