A husband has revealed the insane reason he and his wife struggled to get pregnant for years — setting off a social media firestorm of mockery and bewilderment.that his doctor plainly told the couple they weren’t suffering from infertility, but simply needed to “stop wearing condoms when having sex.”
“Maybe keep wearing the condom man,” said another user — a sentiment that was reiterated by several others.Many also questioned just how real the story could be — and wondered if the anonymous writer was trying to pull one over on the digital magazine’s readers. “In what was probably only a few minutes but some of the longest of my life, the doctor at the clinic explained how condoms actually function and that we’d been failing to get my wife pregnant because I was wearing a condom while we did it,” the man wrote.
Slate’s “How to Do It” suspected the struggle was psychosomatic and suggested that the man and his wife explore medications for erectile dysfunction.
