The city's Sheriff Court was told that officers had their attention drawn to Thomson's black Mercedes.Police followed Thomson from Church Street to Byers Road where he went towards a set of red traffic lights.
Prosecutor Caitlin O'Hare said:"Police saw the car slow down slightly before he continues through the lights."An area search found Thomson reversing in Queens Garden where he then went through another no entry sign."You have a f***ing bad attitude." He was told to stop his conduct but stated:"Just f***ing hurry up and do what you need to f***ing do and get to f***."It was revealed that Thomson has a previous conviction for drunk driving where he was disqualified.He said:"I have heard the narration and I am not impressed by it.
"The irony of you saying to police about their bad attitude when you have been abusive and offensive to them is not lost on me - it does not reflect good on you at all. "The next time you are behind the wheel and police stop you, your next words should be 'Yes sir, how can I help you?'"
