The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is tracking two intensifying storms in the Atlantic Ocean following Hurricane Helene. Hurricane Kirk, now a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of up to 125 mph, is veering towards Ireland and the U.K. after initially threatening the US East Coast. While Kirk poses no direct threat to land, it is expected to generate life-threatening surf and rip currents along the Caribbean Islands and US East Coast.

Kirk, designated as a Category 3 hurricane, has had sustained wind speeds of up to 125 mph.
