The major hurricane is now tracking north-northeast over the western Atlantic waters on a path that will take it near Bermuda and then into Atlantic Canada.- Peak impacts will arrive Thursday night into early Friday. -Hurricane watches have been issued for central and eastern Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and parts of western Newfoundland. Tropical storm watches are posted for western Nova Scotia, eastern New Brunswick, parts of Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as extreme southeastern Quebec.
-Those threats are expected no matter whether Fiona is still a hurricane or if it has transitioned into a non-tropical low by that point.
