Hunter Brown struck out three and didn't allow a hit in three innings against the Mets

Brown spent the past five days working to find a better rhythm. Manager Dusty Baker paired him with Class AAA batterymate Korey Lee while starting catcher Martín Maldonado was at the World Baseball Classic with Team Puerto Rico. That comfort, coupled with an improved pace, produced the sort of start Brown needed.

“Kind of building off the last couple outings, just things that we’re working on, I was trying to put them into play,” Brown said. “Definitely happy with the way the process is going right now.”
