North Texans can expect freezing rain, sleet, and ice in the affected area. Ice accumulations of one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch are possible. At Dallas Love Field, 67 flights out of Dallas on Tuesday have been canceled along with 60 that were headed to Dallas. Only a handful of flights are showing as delayed on Monday afternoon, though that's expected to change overnight.According to FlightAware, 161 flights out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were canceled due to the wintry weather as of 9:20 p.m. on Monday. An additional 423 flights were delayed. Inbound, another 197 flights have been canceled and 191 delayed.they were"making the necessary preparations for the potential of winter weather this week.
At Dallas Love Field, 108 flights were canceled and 34 flights were delayed, FlightAware reported. Inbound, 115 flights are canceled and 28 are delayed.Beyond Texas, forecasters said ice could accumulate in neighboring Oklahoma and Arkansas and stretch east into the Deep South and Midwest this week. Schools and colleges in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas planned to close or go to virtual learning Tuesday.
