Hundreds of Evri parcels stolen from warehouse and wheeled away in cages through streets
Hundreds of parcels were stolen from a warehouse in Stockport before being wheeled down the street on wooden pallets and in cages. The packages, the majority of which were Evri deliveries, were stolen from a courier warehouse on Lingard Lane last Friday night .
An estimated £20,000 worth of parcels have already been recovered by police and are in the process of being delivered back to Evri. Seven individuals aged from under 18 to 55 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods. Stockport’s Neighbourhood Crime Team are continuing to appeal for any information in relation to the commercial burglary CCTV footage has shown several vehicles passing the offenders whilst the items were being transported on foot, with officers seeking witnesses who may have vital information to help the investigation.
