A total of 285 offences were detected, and 244 vehicles were stopped, over a ten-day period.
Hundreds of drivers were charged with driving offences during a police crackdown on A9 road offences north of Perth.
The “shocking” figures – released by the Scottish Government – show 199 collisions occurred on the road’s non-dualled sections in comparison to 114 on dualled sections between 2021 and 2023. PC Mathew Ross of the Road Policing Unit in Perth said: “The public has told us that road safety and tackling traffic offences is a priority for them and, as such it is a priority for us.
