Hundreds of people showed up to stand in solidarity with Palestinians amid the war.

In response to the violence, the central Pennsylvania committee of Masajids held an emergency rally on the Harrisburg capitol steps in solidarity for the rights of Palestinian families and civilians. Children and adults waved flags that said free Palestine and end the siege of Gaza now. Many said the war did not begin on Oct. 7.

They said Palestinians have been suffering from Israeli occupation for years. Calling for peace is coming as more deaths climb during the invasion. 'You don't have to be Palestinian; you don't have to be Christian or Muslim or any religion really to be here. You only have to be a person of conscious and to say enough is enough,” said rally speaker Nabila Taha. Many speakers plead for justice and cry out for a ceasefire and to free Palestine.
