The Scottish First Minister spoke out as he prepares to mark his first year in the post.
First Minister Humza Yousaf has insisted he is “absolutely committed” to making Scotland a better place as he looks to mark his first anniversary in the job.
But his time in the role has sometimes been overshadowed by the police investigation into the party’s finances – a probe that has seen both Ms Sturgeon and her husband, former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell arrested, though both were released by police without charge. Commenting on the difficulties Mr Yousaf has faced, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said he almost feels sorry for the First Minister.
“What drives me is fairness for all as we work to achieve better equality, greater opportunity and safer communities.” “And we’ve invested a record £19.5 billion in our NHS – without losing a single day to pay-related strike action in our health system, uniquely in the UK.
