The parents of the First Minister's wife have been trapped in the Palestinian enclave since the outbreak of violence in the region.
Humza Yousaf's in-laws remain trapped in Gaza without drinking water today as Israel begins to allow foreign nationals to leave the area via Egypt.

"We welcome that the Rafah crossing looks set to be opened for a number of foreign nationals," he said. "This is obviously a developing situation but our understanding at this stage is that UK nationals are not at present included in this initial list of countries whose nationals can cross.
