Hexagon unveils AEON, a humanoid robot built with NVIDIA tech, to automate factory inspection, scanning, and reality capture.
As the industrial world rapidly scales up, so does the demand for precision, speed, and automation. At its annual Hexagon LIVE Global conference, Hexagon introduced AEON, a humanoid robot built in partnership with NVIDIA, designed to take on the physical and technical challenges of modern industrial operations.AEON is engineered to assist across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, and logistics.
This approach allowed AEON to master core movement functions within just two to three weeks, a process that typically takes several months through traditional robotic training methods.Running on NVIDIA’s robotics stackAt the core of AEON’s performance is NVIDIA’s full-stack robotics infrastructure. The robot runs on Jetson Orin computers for real-time decision-making and will soon be upgraded to NVIDIA’s IGX Thor platform to enable collaborative safety features.
