San Diego Humane Society transferred 318 animals to Humane Society of Southern Arizona on Aug. 7
The Board of Directors at the Humane Society of the United States suspended two leaders from the HS of Southern Arizona over the disappearance of 250 small pets from San Diego, the Humane Society of San Diego told NBC 7 on Sunday.The Board has also launched an investigation into the transfer of those pets back in August, according to Nina Thompson from the SDHS.
“These [animals] are part of our family, and they’re missing,” Weitzman said. “We’re going to find out what happened to our animals. We have to. We can’t let it drop.” “It’s not a respectful response in any shape or form,” Weitzman said. “It’s definitely becoming exhausting. We’re asking the same questions and not getting any of the answers that we’re asking for.”
