Human Rights Commission says Mpumalanga municipalities are putting communities' health at risk

The commissioner of the SA Human Rights Commission, Philile Ntuli, slammed Mpumalanga municipalities for failing to provide basic rights for its residents announced during the launch of an investigative inquiry into service delivery within Mpumalanga municipalities on Monday, 26 February 2024., launching the report, noted minimal progress by Lekwa in implementing the commission's 2019 recommendations for improving the delivery of services.

The inquiry, prompted by numerous service delivery complaints across Mpumalanga, involved 17 local municipalities, three district municipalities and some government departments.
