Human remains have been found in a burnt-out car more than 200km north of Perth, as WA Police try to work out if it’s linked to a bizarre ocean rescue that took place hours later.

The vehicle was found ablaze along Indian Ocean Dr near the coastal town of Jurien Bay about 12.30am Tuesday.

Picture: 7News A man was spotted acting erratically in a boat nearby, before he jumped in the water and needed to be rescued by a nearby fishing vessel.Police say nothing suspicious was found inside the vehicle.
