Hulk is fighting the 1 hero who can kill him in new preview.

Warning! This article contains spoilers for The Incredible Hulk #4 The Hulk’s reputation as the Strongest Avenger isn’t unfounded, as he is arguably the toughest hero in the Marvel Universe. The Hulk can decimate entire worlds and withstand attacks with the power akin to nuclear weapons, but even still, he’s not totally unkillable, and there are entities out there who have the capacity to take him down permanently. Now, one of those entities is officially targeting the Hulk: Man-Thing.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Theodore Sallis aka Man-Thing is a being who is far more than just a ‘Swamp Thing’ knock-off, as he’s actually a being of immense importance on a multiversal scale. While it’s true that Man-Thing is an entity who lives in the swamp, has the power to control plant-life around the globe, and whose body is made of plant-life itself, Man-Thing is the guardian of the Nexus of All Realities.

Man-Thing Is The 1 Hero Who Can Beat Hulk In a preview for The Incredible Hulk #4 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Travel Foreman, Bruce Banner encounters Man-Thing while on the run from other monsters trying to kill him. Since Man-Thing has a history of working alongside the Avengers during times of crisis, Banner thought he could work with him for the sake of his own survival.

In the final page of the preview, Man-Thing is burning Bruce Banner’s skin with his acidic secretion, which isn’t surprising given the fact that Banner is human. However, what’s more notable is the action shown on the cover of this issue, which shows Man-Thing being able to burn the skin of the Hulk with his touch. If Man-Thing has the power to hurt the Hulk and Banner this way, then it’s fair to say he has the capacity to kill him with it as well.

Not only is it significant that Man-Thing supposedly has the strength to take down the Hulk with a mere touch, but also that he’s perhaps the only ‘monster’ with that capability. In the last issue of this series, the Hulk smashed an eldritch beast worshiped by the undead in a manner that seemed more like he was squishing an annoying bug than taking on a worthy challenger. This indicates that, out of all the entities hunting Hulk at the moment, Man-Thing is perhaps the most powerful.
