We chat with TheWitcher stars Hugh Skinner, Cassie Clare & Graham McTavish about how Radovid differs in season 3 versus the game of TheWitcher3, as well as how Dijkstra and Phillippa's dynamic grows more complex:
The Witcher season 3, part 1 spends more time in the kingdom of Redania, where spymaster Sigismund Dijkstra and court mage Philippa Eilhart plot how to maintain their power in the North when faced with Nilfgaard's incoming onslaught. The popular Netflix series also introduces another member of their entourage in the recent batch of episodes: King Vizimir's seemingly clueless brother, Radovid .
But I'm sure Philippa is very aware that it's Redania and then Philly. But I am Cassie, and very hurt by that.Cassie Clare: You've got the map on your back, haven't you? The map of Redania. Hugh, the Radovid that we meet this season is not the Radovid that I recall from the greatest game of our time, The Witcher 3. But he is also super, super fun. I love you, I love your romance for this season.
Hugh Skinner: Well, they did have him meet Jaskier, which is obviously a fantastic thing. That was by accident, but it was a fabulous thing.
