Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Jackman announced their separation after nearly three decades of marriage.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the statement read. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”The former couple continued, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
In addition to signing the statement with “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” the pair added, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”in 1995 before eventually tying the knot a year later in April 1996. The pair then went on to welcome two children together, a son named Oscar in 2000 and a daughter, Ava, in 2005.
News of their split comes as a surprise to some, as the couple was spotted together as recently as July when they attended the men’s finals at Wimbledon. Prior to that, the couple appeared at the 2023 Met Gala in May and celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in April.
