The King’s official birthday parade marked the Princess’s first public event since Christmas Day celebrations following her hiatus due to undergoing preventive chemotherapy for cancer detected during the Princess’s abdominal surgery in January. Mr Myers confirmed Charles was relieved at the news of his daughter-in-law return as he hinted at further public appearances for Kate this year.
“As she has said herself, there have been some particularly tough times over the last few weeks and months and certainly her chemotherapy treatment is obviously going to take its toll.”
